Bob Ostertag

Composer, performer, historian, instrument builder, journalist, activist, kayak instructor, Bob Ostertag's work cannot easily be summarized or pigeon-holed. He has published 21 CDs of music, two movies, two DVDs, and three books. His writings on contemporary politics have been published on every continent and in many languages. Electronic instruments of his own design are at the cutting edge of both music and video performance technology. He has performed at music, film, and multi-media festivals around the globe. His radically diverse collaborators include the Kronos Quartet, avant garder John Zorn, heavy metal star Mike Patton, jazz great Anthony Braxton, dyke punk rocker Lynn Breedlove, drag diva Justin Bond, Quebecois film maker Pierre Hubert, and others. He is rumored to have connections to the shadowy media guerrilla group The Yes Men. In March 2006 Ostertag made all of his recordings to which he owns the rights available as free digital downloads under a Creative Commons license. Vogelwijk Energiek krijgt Groen Lintje van Groen Links Den Haag

De jaarlijkse uitreiking van het Groene Lintje door GroenLinks Den Haag vindt dit jaar plaats op zaterdag 5 juni. De ontvanger is het bestuur van de stichting Vogelwijk Energiek. Phlip Boswinkel, Ed van Dijk, Paul Lohmann, Willem Minderhout en Udo Roberti.

Dankzij dit project is de windmolen bij het Zuiderstrand na twee jaar stilstand opnieuw in gebruik genomen. Vierhonderd huishoudens kunnen daarmee van energie worden voorzien. Heleen Weening zal het lintje opspelden om 14.00 uur, bij de windmolen.

DONDERDAG 3 JUNI POLITIEK DEBAT OP DE HAAGSE HOGESCHOOL
Wat doet de politiek voor jou?!
Den Haag, 1 juni 2010
Op 3 juni 2010 organiseert studentenvereniging Dynamica, in samenwerking met de Haagse Hogeschool en studentenvereniging Mashriq een politiek debat waar vertegenwoordigers van de landelijke politieke partijen de verbale strijd met elkaar en met studenten/jongeren aangaan.

De thema’s Onderwijs en Economie staan tijdens het debat centraal. Het wordt een paneldiscussie tussen sprekers van de landelijke politieke partijen, waarbij het publiek - vooral studenten - vragen kan stellen.
Er zijn nog veel zwevende keizers en met name jongeren blijken last-minute hun keuze te maken of gaan helemaal niet naar de stembus.

Het debat vindt plaats in de aula van de Haagse Hogeschool
De inloop is om 18.30 en om 19.00 start de paneldiscussie.

De politieke partijen die deel zullen nemen aan het debat zijn: Christen Unie ( Jonathan van der Geer), PvdA (Gülhan Akdemir), SP (Hans van Leeuwen), D66 (Kees Verhoeven), Groenlinks (Niels van den Berge) en VVD.
